Share Research Through Podcasting

A new year brings new opportunities, and for us, 2026 is all about helping more researchers share research through podcasting. Whether you’re an early career academic just starting to think about impact, or an experienced researcher looking for fresh ways to connect with audiences, podcasting offers a powerful platform to share your work, your story, and your passion.
Why Podcasting?
Podcasting is more than just another communication channel. It’s a space where research can breathe, where complex ideas can be explored with depth, nuance, and personality. Unlike a journal article or a press release, podcasts allow for conversation, storytelling, and connection. They make research approachable, relatable, and, most importantly, heard.
Taking the Leap in 2026
This January, we’re encouraging researchers to take the new year by the horns and embrace podcasting as part of their toolkit. It’s not about having the “perfect voice” or being a professional broadcaster. It’s about being willing to share your research in an authentic way and opening up new conversations with audiences who might never pick up an academic paper.
How We Can Help
Throughout 2026, we’ll be running podcast training for academics – practical, supportive sessions that walk you through everything from planning your first episode to recording, editing, and publishing with confidence. Our goal is to make podcasting accessible and enjoyable, while showing you how it can amplify the impact of your research.
Join us at one of our online workshops:
- Friday 17th April, 10-4pm
- Wednesday 3rd June, 10-4pm
- Monday 20th July, 10-4pm

Let’s Make This Year Count
If you’ve been thinking about trying podcasting but haven’t quite taken the plunge, 2026 is the year to do it. Sharing research is about more than dissemination, it’s about connection, dialogue, and sparking change. And podcasting is one of the most engaging ways to make that happen.
So here’s to 2026: a year of bold voices, big ideas, and podcasts that make a difference.
